Speak-Easier: Bridging the Abortion Divide

  • Shenanigan Station 317 Coeur D Alene Avenue Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, 83814 United States (map)

“Abortions have always been stigmatized, even before Dobbs, especially here in Idaho. Dobbs just made it worse. Suddenly doctors were asking, is this abortion? Am I going to jail for helping?” —Idaho Physician

Speak-Easier: Bridging the Abortion Divide is part interview-style storytelling, and part interactive conversation designed to bring diverse voices to the abortion conversation in order to cultivate understanding and empathy: clergy and people of faith, healthcare professionals, and abortion supporters of varied genders and ethnicities.

Abortion stigma persists everywhere. By breaking through the silence, shame, and distance, we can "speak easier" about abortion as healthcare, and the ability to determine what's best for one's own life as a human right.
