TOOLKIT:

The Receiver

A public art installation for truth-telling.

THE RECEIVER is a public art installation— a reimagined phone booth that creates space for truth-telling. Visitors enter, pick up a symbolic phone, and share stories of abortion, pregnancy, miscarriage, or reproductive care. Stories may be recorded (anonymously, max 3 minutes via Google Voice) and can later be excerpted in community events and advocacy projects.

This toolkit supports artists, activists, and organizers who want to build a Receiver in partnership with The Pro-Voice Project.

Design Inspiration

Ask →

🞏 What emotions should it evoke?

🞏 What local or reclaimed materials can I use?

🞏 How do I balance beauty with durability?

🞏 How will I invite people inside?

🞏 Who will help shape and sustain it?

Each Receiver should reflect its community.

No two Receivers will look alike.
Use what your place offers. PVP will host an online gallery of community designs.
