Big news, and an ask for your support
We have exciting news to share: The Pro-Voice Project has been awarded a new multi-year grant from the Lumena Foundation, a major vote of confidence in our storytelling work and the growing need for it across Idaho.

PVP on PBS!
With abortion now effectively banned in 15 states, many Americans are crossing state lines to legally end pregnancies. In May, the first state law aimed at ending that option for anyone under 18 went into effect in Idaho. In a story co-produced with the PBS NewsHour, KFF Health News correspondent Sarah Varney takes a look at this new frontier in the movement to outlaw access to legal abortion.
PBS reports, from Sandpoint, on the political climate that leaves Idaho women’s health at risk
Many maternal health doctors say state abortion bans are untenable and OB-GYNs are beginning to pack up and leave. In a segment co-produced with the PBS NewsHour, KFF Health News correspondent Sarah Varney reports on this growing crisis.
Live in defiance of silence with PVP stickers
You know you want one. Especially the Idaho one. Everyone wants the Idaho one.

BGH and other casualties of Idaho’s abortion ban
Sandpoint is emerging as one of the Four Horsemen of the Women’s Health Apocalypse. Giddyup, pardner. It’s going to be a wild ride.
PVP, BGH, WTF and other acronyms to start your day
Enjoying your ride on the Sandpoint Emotional Rollercoaster? The latest stomach-dropping dip came last Friday with the announcement of the closure of Labor and Delivery at Bonner General. We’re all feeling shock, outrage, sadness, and powerlessness. But I’ve got some emotional outlets for you, and they (of course) involve letting your voices be heard.
North Idaho's loss of labor & delivery services in the news
The closure of Bonner General’s labor and delivery unit is the talk of the town. In fact, it is the talk of the nation. Our story has appeared in myriad media outlets. Which means the whole thing is just that effed up. The media reports on spectacle, and we are that.
Pro-Voice happenings, including an April storytelling workshop
Just as the fight for abortion access in Idaho has not gone away, neither has The Pro-Voice Project. We're still looking for ways to change the dialog on this issue and—hopefully, someday—change the laws. Work is underway to put on the production in Boise later this year. We also plan to have a presence at Sandpoint Pride.
