When Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022 and Idaho's total ban on abortion went into effect, our state suddenly became a dangerous place to be pregnant. About 8 percent of pregnancies result in dire complications and sometimes the necessary treatment involves an abortion to prevent further suffering or worsening of a condition.
